Salary: $40,000-50,000 or commensurate with experience

Overview:

Park House is a congregate home providing affordable, independent housing for seniors and other qualifying adults in the five-town area of Granville, Hancock, Pittsfield, Rochester, and Stockbridge. We offer residents the opportunity to live independently with dignity in a safe, pleasant, and positive environment. Staff at Park House do not offer personal or nursing care. Park House strives to offer residents a vibrant atmosphere where they can be engaged with their families and communities.

Position Summary:

Park House seeks an experienced Executive Director who is passionate about our mission and able to lead our organization with excellence. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including fundraising, resident programming, financial and building management, and staff supervision.

In addition to their operational responsibilities, the Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure that the organization is fulfilling its mission and serving its residents effectively and compassionately.

Our ideal candidate will be a self-directed leader with a deep commitment to our organization’s mission and goals. They will be able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to represent our organization to a variety of audiences.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Working with the Board of Trustees

  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to ensure that the organization is fulfilling its mission. Provide regular updates to the Board regarding the organization’s operations and performance.
  • Model and promote the organization’s values and culture, setting a high standard for ethical and effective behavior in all interactions.

Financial responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization’s financial management in partnership with the Board Treasurer, ensuring that the organization is financially sound and operating with an eye for long- term sustainability.
  • Collaborates with the Board to develop a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy in keeping with the Mission Statement and needs of Park House.
  • Ensure that the organization raises enough funds to meet its annual goals, monitoring progress toward fundraising goals and making adjustments as needed.Operations, Staffing, and Outreach
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of programs, working closely with staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure that programs are effective, efficient, and meet the needs of Park House residents.
  • Promote the organization’s programs and services to key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community partners, and the media, to increase awareness and support for the organization’s mission.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to increase the organization’s visibility and reach.Qualifications:
  • Qualified experience in nonprofit management, older adult living, and/or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Board of Trustees, donors, sponsors, and otherstakeholders.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and values.
